The scholarship aims to encourage, promote and support research and study in the area of Ukrainian Studies.
Applicants must
- be prospective students at UCL’s School of Slavonic & East European Studies (SSEES) who have applied to begin MPhil/PhD research studies into a topic broadly defined by the area of Ukrainian Studies.
- not already bein receipt of full funding (fees and maintenance equivalent to a full award from a UK Research Council) from another source
The scholarship must be taken up by 31 January within the academic year for which it is awarded.
The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence and research potential.
Value
The scholarship totals £8,000 p.a. for a maximum of three years. Further funds towards one fieldwork trip abroad and/or project expenses may be available on request.
The scholarship will be paid to the scholarship holder in three or four instalments over the course of the academic year.
